This is a community collaboration project, this involves working directly with the community (in this case a charity theater called Walk Tall) to create sets props or costume.
These are the drawings and images that were sent over from the charity theater.
The set itself is simple enough, 9 flat boards (4' by 8' approx) supported by stands and held by stage weights.
I was given the task of the grandfather clock. When working from a small image to this scale the trick is to grid both image and board, this gives guidelines that you can draw from making it more accurate.
I made the bookcase a similar type of brown to the clock and the piano, this gives the whole set continuity.
Here are the finished pieces, when I get the pictures from the show I will put them up! I had so much fun doing with Fiona, Joy and Simon, I think we all did a fantastic job.
